Dream a Little Bigger, Darling

It's raining outside and I received some kind of epiphany to write something that I'll never write before.

Please do allow me to indulge my mellow mood with this post.

Ever heard of the phrase "Man from Mars and Woman from Venus"? Yes. That how we are. We have nothing in common with our partner and yet somehow we ended up together. We make the relationship work.

Do you have a "type"? In your mind you might have a list of characteristics (physical, attitude etc) of your dream man or woman. But once you're in love with a person try to compare them with your list. How many percent are the similarity? Most of the time your lover has different personality or physical characteristics from your type yet you can just accept them the way they are. Of course most of the time the differences will most likely drive you crazy but you accept them as challenges or as a puzzle. You take your time to "discover" your love one. You'll try your best to understand and tolerate them. Along the way you might enjoy the the things that your loved one enjoy.

Opposite Attracts : Let Me Count the Way.

a) I love language and literature but he loves history and science.

b) I love my eggs sunny side up but he thinks they are too gooey. He like them scramble instead.

c) I read story about murder, detectives and investigation but he prefers autobiography and war.

d) I don't listen to oldies but he can write poetical lyrics on Frank Sinatra and his albums.

e) I listen to non-English songs and enjoy them while he only listen to the songs that he understand the lyrics.

f) I strongly believe in making plan while he likes spontaneity.

There are too many differences and like I said earlier, it can drive anybody crazy but this is a challenge and puzzle to discover a person and myself.
