I am fond of checklist.
There I said it. For someone like me with so many thoughts and things on my
mind the possibility for me to forget to do something is off the chart.
From work related tasks up
to day to day activities I already have my checklist. The moment I open my eyes
in the morning, I’ll run over my mental checklist; what I should do today,
classes, appointment and meeting that I have to attend, etc..and of course once
I arrived at the office my to-do checklist is there on the board as a reminder.
2016, is the first time for
me to buy my own weekly diary. (Sometime I got them for free but never use any
of it). Nothing fancy or expensive, but A5 size so quite practical to bring
everywhere. The reason why I need diary now? My works/tasks/responsibilities
are more as compared to before. I’m working to make it a habit, to jot down immediately,
(date & time-venue) of any work related tasks that I have to do and make
sure to check the diary regularly in case I might overlook important dates and
events.
I also have checklist for
grocery shopping. On occasion I didn’t prepare one, I would forget to buy
something-which is annoying especially when you need the item/product. This happened
to me like few weeks ago. I had this sudden craving for mee kari so I went to
the supermarket to buy all the ingredient without preparing any checklist. When
I was ready and all geared up for cooking I realized I forgot to buy one thing.
The mother of all key ingredients of mee kari: THE NOODLE ITSELF. I, a failure
of human being, had put my ancestors to shame for forgetting THE NOODLE FOR MEE
KARI. Do you see the problem here? So I have learned my lesson. Checklist is
your friend. Have it.
